Russia fired 115 missiles, nearly 1,900 guided bombs and over 3,000 drones at Ukraine in space of week, – Zelenskyy. VIDEO
Throughout the week, Russian troops continued to launch attacks on Ukraine using drones, guided bombs and missiles.
This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Censor.NET.
What the Russians used
In total, this week alone, Russia fired 115 missiles of various types, nearly 1,900 guided aerial bombs and over 3,000 attack drones at our cities and communities.
Zelenskyy emphasised that these were combined strikes involving a significant amount of ballistics. And a large proportion of the missiles were manufactured this year.
He noted that Ukraine is constantly sharing information with its partners about Russian enterprises involved in the production of Russian ballistic weapons.
"In October, Ukraine imposed major sanctions packages against individuals and legal entities involved in these activities. It is vital that these are synchronised across Europe and within the G7 jurisdictions. If the world lacks sufficient anti-ballistic capabilities to protect Ukrainian airspace, we must stop the missiles on the production lines. We are counting on a strong 22nd EU sanctions package. I would like to thank all our partners who are genuinely helping," the President added.
New attacks by Russia
- This morning, the Russians attacked Komyshuvakha with an FPV drone, where emergency rescue operations have been ongoing for the seventh day following an air strike that claimed the lives of 55 people; sadly, people may still be trapped under the rubble.
- There was an attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region overnight. The Russians struck the power grid, leaving over 600,000 people in Dnipro and the surrounding region without electricity.
- The situation in the Kharkiv region is difficult.
- There are widespread power cuts across the regions. In the Zhytomyr region, 140 high-rise blocks were left without heating following Russian shelling. Repair work is ongoing in virtually every affected town and community.
