Rada extends land sale moratorium until 2018
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has extended the moratorium on agricultural land sales until 2018 by adopting draft law No. 2153-1 on amendments to section X "Transitional Provisions" of the Land Code of Ukraine to extend the prohibition of sale of agricultural land.

"The draft law provides for amending paragraphs 14 and 15 of section X "Transitional Provisions" of the Land Code of Ukraine and extends the moratorium on sale or any other alienation of agricultural land until the agricultural land turnover procedure is settled at the legislative level, but not earlier than Jan. 1, 2018," the explanatory note reads.
