FSB intimidates Crimea residents by false statements on ‘Ukrainian saboteurs’, - SBU
Russian special services want to discredit Ukraine by statements on "subversive actions" it is allegedly plotting in the occupied peninsula.
This was stated by adviser to the Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Yurii Tandit, Censor.NET reports citing Channel 5."They intimidate people in our territory, in annexed Crimea, by such false information attacks including that one about the detention of the so-called "subversives" who have nothing to do with the Ukrainian special services.
"Of course, such information attacks have the target - the Russian voters. They are trying to discredit Ukrainian authorities by providing false stories showing us as a fascist state again," Yurii Tandit said.
As reported, the Russian FSB announced detention of another "Ukrainian saboteurs" in annexed Sevastopol Nov. 9. The subversives were allegedly plotting sabotage against sensitive facilities in Crimea.
The Russian law enforcers said the detainees were alleged members of the "subversive-terrorist group of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine."
Ukraine's Defense Ministry Speaker Andrii Lysenko denied this information, saying that there were no Ukrainian saboteurs in Crimea while the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was trying to mislead everyone again.
