Ukraine likely to receive IMF's fourth tranche in 2017
The National Bank of Ukraine expects Ukraine to get the fourth loan disbursement from the International Monetary Fund in 2017.
NBU Deputy Head Oleh Churii said at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny."For the tranche to be allocated, the state budget is to be adopted. We hope Ukraine will get the IMF's fourth disbursement the next year," he said.
According to him, the nationalization of Privatbank has improved chances for the allocation of the IMF's next tranche.
As previously reported, Ukraine also has to carry out a pension reform and adopt a land market law.
Upon the results of mission's visit to Ukraine, the IMF urged the government to adopt the 2017 state budget agreed under the cooperation program.
The mission also stated the Ukrainian authorities require more time to complete the current phase of the program.
