Obama enacts new sanctions against Russia
U.S. President Barack Obama has signed a decree on new sanctions against Russia.
Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.According to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the restrictions will affect six individuals and five Russian organizations, including the FSB.
Earlier, the Obama administration declared its intention to introduce new sanctions against Russia on Dec. 29.
Part of the restrictions were supposed to be made public, while the rest were characterized as covert actions.
The White House adopts such measures in retaliation for yet unproven interference of Moscow in the U.S. election campaign.
