Soldiers may not terminate contracts while in ATO zone, - General Staff
The military who perform tasks in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area may not terminate contracts under the new law.
Acting Chief of Staff of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Mark Andrusiak said on air of Army FM, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform."During the execution of tasks in the ATO zone, no dismissals are envisaged. Only after the completion of tasks," Andrusiak said.
Earlier, President Petro Poroshenko signed the law on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine in terms of improving army career patterns.
The document addresses certain issues related to the enlistment, continuation and retirement from the military. In particular, it is intended to allow soldiers drafted under various types of contracts during a special period to continue service under a new contract or retire at their will.
