300 Poltava residents demanded resignation of regional police administration
The rally was held at the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Poltava region. Protesters demanded resignation of the police administration.
Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.About 300 residents of Poltava participated in the rally. Protesters expressed distrust to local police officers. They demanded police administration to resign because of failure to solve resonant crimes in Poltava.
The protesters demanded the dismissal of the head of the attestation police commission Iryna Stepanenko, who is believed to be involved in some of the crimes, and head of one of the police departments Oleksandr Terelia. In turn, the head of the National Police in the Poltava region Oleh Bekh promised to establish a new attestation police commission.
Participants also demanded to close the criminal proceedings against local activists.
