Deputy head of Ukrzaliznytsia's audit and control department Vakhtang Dzhakeli detained red-handed with $70,000 bribe

Deputy head of Ukrzaliznytsia's audit and control department Vakhtang Dzhakeli was detained on Wednesday, Sept. 13, as he was accepting $70,000 in bribe.
This was announced by deputy infrastructure minister Yurii Lavreniuk on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.He wrote that Dzhakeli was detained by Security Service of Ukraine as he was accepting the first sum of the $70,000 bribe for aiding with appointment of a certain person to a leading position in Ukrainska Zaliznytsia PJSC. A total amount of the improper advantage Dzhakeli intended to receive is $300,000, the deputy minister wrote.
Lavreniuk said Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian several times warned against "this hate figure" in Ukrzaliznytsia. "Today we have seen the results of his 'work'!"
The official said the detention resulted from joint efforts by Security department of Ukrzaliznytsia, which is Ukriane's major railway carrier, and the law enforcers.
