In the south of France, an unprecedented large-scale exercise called Orion 23 has begun. They aim to prepare the military for the most difficult situations of modern warfare.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"The most ambitious joint military exercise in decades began this week," tweeted French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu.
According to him, in total, about 20,000 people participate in these exercises, which organize the simulation of large battles on land, at sea and in the air, as well as in new areas of conflict: in cyberspace, space and in the information environment.
"These exercises, which will last more than 2 months, aim to prepare our forces for the most difficult situations of modern warfare and to show that our army is capable of demonstrating reaction and endurance in a high-intensity conflict," Lecornu said.
Meanwhile, French media reports that the Orion 23 exercise will deploy the army's new Griffon armored vehicles, Leclerc tanks, air defense systems, fighter jets, and the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier.
