The second group of Ukrainian artillerymen is completing training on the 155mm AS90 self-propelled artillery system in the UK.

More than 1,000 British military personnel are participating in the program, which is being implemented at the UK Ministry of Defense facilities in several regions of the country.
The AS90 training takes place in a specialized facility under the control of the Royal School of Artillery and is conducted by officers and soldiers of the Royal Artillery Regiment.
The United Kingdom became the first country to donate Western main battle tanks, donating a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks with armored recovery and repair vehicles, as well as a battery of eight AS90 guns in "high readiness" and two more batteries in "varying degrees of readiness."
FOR REFERENCE. The AS-90 is a self-propelled artillery system created by the United Kingdom's defense industry. The AS-90 gun with a 155 mm caliber and 39 caliber barrel is capable of firing a conventional projectile at a distance of 24.7 km, and with a 52 caliber barrel - at 30 km.
Ukrainian military personnel have undergone special training in all aspects of the AS90 system's operation and maintenance. The artillerymen came to the UK with different backgrounds: among them are both experienced artillerymen and soldiers with little or no military experience.
