Ruscists destroyed oil refinery in Meref in Kharkiv region. VIDEO&PHOTOS

In the town of Merefa, Kharkiv region, a state-of-the-art oil refinery with an investment of $200 million was destroyed by Russian shelling.

This was reported by Kharkiv businessman and volunteer Yurii Sapronov, Censor.NET reports.

"This is how the Ruscists are killing Ukraine's economy. Tonight, the Merefa refinery was destroyed. The most modern refinery in Ukraine, a new one," the statement reads.

He noted that the company was launched during the active phase of the war.

"AES Group's private investment of $200 million was destroyed," Sapronov said.

This is not the first attack on the refinery. As previously reported by Censor.NET, on 7 January this year, Russian missiles hit the Merefa refinery. One person was killed and another was injured. Process equipment and the building of the enterprise were also damaged. A large-scale fire was avoided because there were empty tanks on the territory of the facility.
