On 2 July, it became known that Ukrainian soldier Kyrylo Krotych, call sign Modnik, was killed during an assault on enemy positions.

According to Censor.NET, a soldier of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Dmytro Kukharchuk, posted this on Facebook.

He noted: "A Cherkasy resident with the spirit of Kholodnyi Yar, a machine gunner of the 2nd company of the 2nd assault battalion of the 3rd Separate Brigade, Kyrylo Krotych, a friend of Modnik, was killed during the storming of enemy positions.

I met Modnik at the Ambros gym during training. And he has always been genuine. You know when there are people with souls and people without? Well, Modnik's soul is as bright as the sunshine.

He was part of our street movement.

As a machine gunner, Modnik worked like a pro. He put down a lot of wagners and regulars. During the assault, he was not afraid to take the initiative. He had great potential.

But the spirit remained. We remember, my friend. We will take revenge.
