On 2 July, it became known that Leonid Krasnov, one of founders of K-2 battalion’s combat unit of 54th Separate Brigade, had died.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the brigade's official Facebook page.
The message reads: "Krasnov Leonid Dmitrievich. "Messi. 35 years old.
The best are dying every day. We are publishing this post because Massey was one of the first reconnaissance soldiers of the K-2 battlegroup, which later became the K-2 battalion. He was the one you could see in the backgrounds of some of the unit's videos.
Leonid was proficient in all types of firearms, from assault rifles to Javelins. He took part in the defence of a number of settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, where he was killed. His unit alone (mortar and Javelin) destroyed about 20 enemy armoured personnel carriers and tanks, stopped enemy columns and neutralised manpower.
He was awarded the Golden Cross badge, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Order for Courage, III class, and other awards.
Honour and respect to the parents who raised a worthy son of their country. We remember everyone. We will take revenge."
