In Ivano-Frankivsk, a pedestrian bridge over Bystrytsia Solotvynska River collapsed due to a sharp rise in water levels.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the mayor of Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv.
"Heavy rains have caused trouble in the region. Frankivsk was not spared. Due to a sharp rise in the water level, part of the pedestrian bridge on Naberezhna Street collapsed. I ask everyone to be as careful as possible! The relevant services are already working on the spot. The Locomotive Repair Plant will work on the restoration of the pedestrian bridge," the mayor wrote.
He also added that there were no casualties.
"The high water broke off part of the shore on the German Lake side, and also broke off part of the pedestrian bridge on Naberezhna. Now the bridge is blocked. There is no passage. Police and utilities are at the scene. The water level is quite high now. Once it subsides, we will start work on restoring this part of the bridge. The water is still coming in. Unfortunately, there are floods in many parts of Ivano-Frankivsk region. We are monitoring the situation in the Frankivsk community," said Martsinkiv.
