SSU detained in Odesa a spy of the Russian terrorist group "Prizrak", who fought against Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the SSU.
For example, a local resident is an ideological supporter of the Kremlin regime, and during the mass riots in Odesa in early May 2014, he took an active part in provocations in favour of Russia.
"Then, in order to avoid responsibility for his crimes, he fled to the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region, where he joined the ranks of militants. There, he was appointed commander of the reconnaissance unit of the Russian-controlled group 'Prizrak', which was later subordinated to the command of the 2nd Army Corps of the aggressor country.
Since then, the suspect, under the pseudonym "Santa", has been fighting against Ukrainian troops in the east of our country, including in the area of the Bakhmut road," the statement said.
It is noted that the Russian mercenary subsequently decided to leave his leaders and secretly left for the territory controlled by Ukraine and returned to Odesa. In the city, he tried to "lay low" and thus avoid justice.
During the searches of the offender's residence in the regional centre, the SSU found photographic evidence of his membership in the terrorist "LPR".
He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organisation).
He is currently in custody. The offender faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
