Russian invaders are building a road from Rostov-on-Don to the temporarily occupied Mariupol.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty.

Planet Labs satellite imagery from October 2023 and 2022 shows that the route (red line) will stretch far from settlements, likely due to the difficulties that widening the existing road (blue line) may cause.

Earlier, Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, said that Russia was building a new railway line to connect Mariupol with Donetsk.
