Serviceman detained in Dnipro. VIDEO&PHOTOS
A military officer was detained in Dnipro for demanding bribes from his subordinates for unimpeded payment of combat pay.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SBI press service.
For example, a senior lieutenant established a "fee" for the unimpeded accrual of combat payments to four subordinates who performed combat missions. He demanded UAH 150,000 from each subordinate.
He was detained red-handed on 12 October after receiving UAH 600,000 in Dnipro.
He has been served a notice of suspicion of extortion and receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official holding a responsible position (Part 3 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years with confiscation of property. The issue of choosing a custody as a form of detention is being decided.
