Ukraine has received two more armored ambulances purchased with funds raised through the UNITED24 initiative.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, the armored ambulances are characterized by high mobility.
"They can travel from 50 to 150 km on a flat tire, depending on the weight of the vehicle and the quality of the road," the agency said.
It is emphasized that the ambulances comply with NATO ballistic standards, namely STANAG 4569 Level II. This means that their armor protects against damage from kinetic ammunition, fragments of field artillery shells, and improvised explosive devices.
"I am grateful to everyone who supports us in this difficult time of full-scale war. Armored vehicles mean safe transportation, which means more lives saved for Ukrainians," said Deputy Minister of Health Mariia Karchevych.
The armored ambulances were manufactured in Canada. The cost of all delivered vehicles is UAH 124 million.
