On November 25, Rivne said goodbye to Ukrainian defender Oleh Zvarych, who died on November 19, 2024, while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region. The fallen soldier was 46 years old.

What is known about the fallen hero?
Oleh Zvarych was born on September 15, 1978, in the village of Klekotiv, Radyvyliv district. He graduated from Rivne State University of Humanities, where he mastered the profession of physics and computer science teacher. In recent years, he worked as a loader at the Dykyi market.
"He never had any military experience, he didn't even serve in the army. Very peaceful, kind, friendly. He always responded if someone asked for help. He was very fond of our two children - he especially took care of his younger daughter, because she had a speech impediment, so Oleh was a reliable support and encouragement," says the Hero's wife Oksana.
Oleh was mobilized in early October 2024. First, he underwent training and then went on a mission.
"We talked on Monday, they were about to leave. Oleh promised to call on Tuesday, but there was no call... Only on Thursday we received a call from the recruitment center and were informed that Oleh was gone," his wife continues.
