Following the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found the citizen guilty of high treason and intentional actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power.

As noted, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
What did the investigation find?
Prosecutors proved that in February 2024, a resident of the village of Heniivka, Chuhuiv district, began collecting information about the locations of the Defence Forces in the district. The man established contact with representatives of the aggressor state and was tasked with collecting data on Ukrainian defenders.
He sent the information via messenger in the form of text messages with the relevant coordinates.
The enemy used the data collected by the convict to plan targeted attacks on the territory of the district.
He called for a power seizure
The man was also an active participant in pro-Russian chat rooms. He left comments calling for the seizure of power. The unlawful nature of his statements was confirmed by the conclusion of a forensic linguistic semantic and textual examination.
The citizen was awaiting trial in custody. During the trial, he pleaded guilty in full.
