In Zaporizhzhia, law enforcement officers exposed employees of a private clinic and a medical and social commission who were issuing fake disabilities to men of military age for money. The cost of the "service" was three thousand dollars.
This was reported on Facebook by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police, Censor.NET informs.
In return for illegal remuneration, officials issued fictitious documents to establish a disability group to men of military age in order to avoid mobilisation.
The "patients" were fictitiously admitted to hospital and given fictitious diagnoses. In addition, one of the defendants imitated surgical operations of clients, and even made medical incisions for the sake of veracity.
Law enforcement officers conducted a series of searches of the doctors' homes, which resulted in the seizure of their belongings:
- 39,500 dollars;
- 7,500 euros;
- over UAH 140,000;
- equipment: mobile phones, laptop, flash drives;
- draft records, passports, medical records and doctor's stamps.
Investigators have now served three employees of the private clinic with a notice of suspicion of accepting an offer, promise or receipt of an unlawful benefit. They face imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
