Two citizens recruited by the FSB were served with notices of suspicion of treason and justification, recognition of the lawfulness, and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (part 2 of Article 111, part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, Censor.NET reports.
"Two Ukrainian citizens - employees of Ukrzaliznytsia and the metro - were recruited in 2014 by a representative of the Federal Security Service in Kaliningrad region. Until 2022, the suspects covertly provided him with information on the movement of rolling stock of trains carrying cargo of interest to the Russian Federation," the statement said.
It is noted that after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, they provided their curator with information on the movement of the Armed Forces units, information on the consequences of hits on urban infrastructure, and prepared for sabotage actions on the instructions of the FSB.
As a result of a series of searches, law enforcement officers seized from the suspects an arsenal of weapons, ammunition, explosives, communications equipment and computer equipment used to communicate with the curator.
The agents were detained in accordance with Article 615 of the CPC of Ukraine. During the documentation of the crime, the SSU also established the facts of justification by the suspects and their close associates of the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine and glorification of its participants. The brother of one of the suspects was detained and served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and his mother was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The issue of choosing a measure of restraint in the form of detention is currently being decided.
