A Russian X-101 missile that did not explode after being shot down by the Ukrainian Defence Forces was found at the site of a shelling in Sumy region.
This was reported by the regional police, Censor.NET reports.
"Police experts worked to eliminate the threat and avoid an uncontrolled detonation, which could have caused significant damage to others due to the large radius of destruction. After a thorough inspection of the found munition, the police separated the combat unit from the body," the statement said.
To mitigate the risks, the missile was transported to a safe location away from residential buildings and defused by detonation.
