He recruited teenager to correct Russian strikes: SSU exposed two Russian agents in southern Ukraine. PHOTOS

The Security Service of Ukraine detained two Russian agents who were adjusting Russia's missile and drone attacks in the southern regions of Ukraine.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press service.

"One of the perpetrators was a 20-year-old resident of Odesa region. The occupiers recruited him remotely via the Telegram channel in search of "easy money". The agent was then tasked with collecting the geolocations of Ukrainian checkpoints, mobile firing groups and air defence systems," the statement said.

In order to spy on more targets, he involved a 15-year-old acquaintance from Voznesensk in Mykolaiv region.

Thus, they walked around the terrain of both southern regions on foot and secretly recorded the locations of the Defence Forces on their phones.

"After the reconnaissance raids, the 'senior' agent marked the coordinates of potential targets on Google maps and sent them to his Russian supervisor via messenger. SSU officers documented this and detained the suspect from Odesa region on an attempt to pass intelligence to the enemy. At the scene, the SSU seized his mobile phone, which he used to communicate with the Russian special service officer," the SSU said.

He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The issue of additional qualification of the agent's crimes under Art. 304 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (involvement of minors in criminal activity) is being decided.

He is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Procedural actions against his juvenile accomplice from Mykolaiv region are also ongoing.
