A volunteer from Austria was killed in the fighting for Ukraine. He was 30 years old.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Austrian newspaper Östrerreich. The information about the death of the volunteer was also confirmed by the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
"An Austrian citizen has died in Ukraine. This was confirmed by the Austrian Foreign Ministry in response to a request from oe24," the statement said.
According to the publication, the death of the Austrian volunteer was first reported by his Ukrainian girlfriend in an Instagram post.
She posted a photo of the deceased, Richard S., who, according to his date of birth, was supposed to celebrate his 30th birthday just two weeks ago.
"He loved his homeland and his family, but from the beginning of the great war, he stood by my family," wrote a friend of the deceased soldier.
It is noted that an Austrian volunteer was killed in a drone attack.
According to Östrerreich, the man was apparently a member of the far-right "Identitarian Movement" in Austria and took part in several of its rallies, including in Graz.
