"Fico to Russia": tens of thousands of people protest in Slovakia to demand resignation of the prime minister. PHOTOS
On Friday, 24 January, tens of thousands of people protested in a number of cities in Slovakia, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Robert Fico.

It is noted that about 60,000 people took part in the protest in Bratislava.
Another 5,000 people came to the "We are Europe" rally organised by the Democrats party in Przyszów. Participants waved flags and banners with references to high taxes and rejection of the government's pro-Russian orientation. The protesters also shouted slogans: "Enough with Fico", "No to this government" and "Fico to Russia".
Hundreds of people gathered at a protest in Prievidza. Many came with Ukrainian flags.
In addition, protests began in Trnava,Myjava and Banská Bystrica. In the last of these cities, about 10,000 people are protesting. They are calling on the government to resign.
Demonstrators are also outraged by Fico's statements about a possible coup d'état during the protests.
As reported earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico accused opposition MPs of preparing a coup d'état and stressed that the current government "will be ready for anything, especially a possible Maidan".
