Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umierov met with Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans in The Hague. The parties discussed priorities for support for the state in 2025.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"The Netherlands is among the leaders in supporting Ukraine, and their assistance increased significantly in 2024. We already have agreements for 2025," Umerov said.

Yes, the priority is the F-16 programme.

"We expect the next batch of aircraft to be delivered in 2025, and we continue to train pilots, engineers and technicians. The Netherlands plays a key role in the Air Force Coalition, supporting the development of our aviation infrastructure and capabilities," the Ukrainian minister said.

The second priority is drones. The parties coordinated the distribution of the previously announced €400 million, as well as the preparation of large-scale joint projects on long-range capabilities.

"Artillery ammunition, air defence systems, and interceptor missiles are also on the agenda. The Netherlands clearly understands our needs and is ready to help.

Industrial cooperation is another area. The next logical step is the development of joint defence enterprises that will strengthen the capabilities of our armies," Umierov said.

In addition, according to him, Ukraine and the Netherlands have synchronised plans for the delivery of aid, its effective use on the battlefield and support for operations.

"It is important to act quickly and efficiently together with our partners. I am grateful to Minister Brekelmans for productive negotiations and to the government and people of the Netherlands for their unwavering support of Ukraine," he added.
