The Chinese cargo ship Ang Yang-2, carrying diesel fuel and fuel oil, crashed off the coast of Sakhalin and ran aground near the Russian port of Nevelsk.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Telegram channels Baza and Astra.

It is noted that the Ang Yang-2 bulk carrier, carrying 56 tonnes of diesel fuel, 706 tonnes of fuel oil and 1000 tonnes of coal, suffered a hole in the Nevelsk district. The vessel with 20 crew members ran aground to the south of the port of Nevelsk.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry claims that there is no fuel spill and that the issue of removing the vessel from the shoal is currently being considered.

However, according to preliminary data, it is not yet clear how serious the breach is, as the Chinese team cannot clearly explain the extent of the problem, and the translator, according to locals, is "not working well".
