This morning, on 5 March, Russian troops attacked the Chernechchyna district of Okhtyrka district, Sumy region, with drones, again targeting civilians.
This was reported by the communication department of the Sumy regional police, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, an 83-year-old woman was wounded by the shelling. The household was damaged, including the house itself, outbuildings on the territory, and a car.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, at night and in the morning of 5 March, Russians fired eight times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 38 explosions were recorded. The Khotyn, Yunakiv, Krasnopil, Chernechchyna, and Hlukhiv districts were shelled.
- Krasnopilska district: an FPV drone struck (1 explosion). A private household was damaged.
- Yunukivska district: the enemy fired from artillery (1 explosion), MLRS (30 explosions) and launched a KAB (1 explosion).
- Khotyn district: Russians fired from artillery (2 explosions).
- Hlukhiv district: an attack by FPV drones was recorded (2 explosions).
- Chernechchyna district: as a result of a UAV attack (1 explosion), 1 private house was damaged and 1 civilian was injured.
