She planned to commit double terrorist attack: SSU detains Russian agent in Mykolaiv. PHOTOS

An FSB attempt to commit a terrorist attack was foiled in Mykolaiv. An agent who was preparing a double explosion in one of the city's residential areas was detained.

This was reported by the press service of the SSU, Censor.NET reports.

"According to the instructions of the occupiers, the suspect was supposed to plant an improvised explosive device (IED) under the hood of a car parked in the yard to detonate it remotely. After law enforcement, ambulance and rescuers arrived at the scene, the racists planned to activate a second explosive hidden nearby.

This is another IED that the agent disguised on a tree a few metres from the mined car and additionally equipped with metal nuts to enhance the destructive effect," the statement said.

Thus, the occupiers hoped to kill and injure as many people as possible, provoking panic in the city.

SSU officers exposed the agent in time, documented her actions, and detained her red-handed when she tried to plant an IED under a car during the curfew.

The detainee is a 33-year-old resident of the Dnipro region who was recruited by the FSB in February 2025 via a Telegram channel in search of "easy money".

She has been served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Article 15, Part 1 Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (completed attempted terrorist act).

The woman is being held without bail and faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
