Hungary to vote on support for Ukraine’s accession to EU
Hungary will hold a vote on Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
The government published a sample ballot on its Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.
It contains only one question: "Do you support Ukraine's accession to the EU?" with the options "yes" or "no". Hungarians will have to choose one of the options.
"Ukraine cannot become a member of the European Union without the consent of the Hungarians, where member states have a veto," the government said in a statement.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban published 12 demands to the European Union, in which he once again opposed Ukraine's membership in the European bloc.
