In the evening of 18 March, a drone with the inscription "Geranium-2" was discovered in the Taskalinsky district of the West Kazakhstan region. The Geranium-2 UAVs look completely identical to the Iranian Shahed-136 drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine.
This was reported bythe Ural Weekly and Kazinform, Censor.NET reports.
Local residents reported the discovery to the police. The emergency services said they had received a report of an "unknown object" and that police and sappers had arrived at the scene. The length of the discovery is 300 centimetres.
The media reported that the Police Department of the West Kazakhstan region, together with the authorised services, is conducting verification measures following the discovery of an object that looks like an unmanned aerial vehicle.
"The object fell in a remote area, far from populated areas, and was found in an intact condition, without visible damage. All the circumstances of the incident are being established," the Department said.
