The law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Poland have decided to extradite to Ukraine a serviceman put on the international wanted list for committing a road accident in Kyiv region.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
On 24 March 2025, he was handed over to the SBI at the Ukrainian- Polish border.
What is the extradited person suspected of?
In 2023, while driving a car, a man drove off a secondary road and failed to give way to a bus near the village of Stare, Boryspil district, Kyiv region. As a result of the collision, two bus passengers sustained serious injuries, and the driver sustained moderate injuries.
How did the soldier avoid punishment?
To avoid punishment, the suspect illegally crossed the state border of Ukraine into the Republic of Moldova and then went to Poland, where he was hiding from justice.

The serviceman was put on the international wanted list and later detained by Polish law enforcement.
