Man detained for smuggling draft evaders abroad for $4,000 in Volyn region – SBGS. PHOTOS
SBGS officers jointly with the police exposed a 20-year-old resident of Rivne region who was organising the illegal trafficking of men of military age abroad.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service (SBGS), Censor.NET reports.
According to the investigation, the offender planned to smuggle clients across the state border outside official checkpoints for a cash reward of USD 4 thousand. He also provided instructions and guidance on the illegal route.
Law enforcers detained a man in Lutsk district while he was receiving an advance of UAH 20,000.
He has been served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transfer of persons across the state border). The court imposed a measure of restraint in the form of round-the-clock house arrest for 60 days.
