Perpetrator who set fire to car near Olimpiiska metro station in Kyiv detained - National Police. PHOTO

Today, on 7 April 2025, at around 10:00 am, the police received information from passers-by that an electric car was on fire near the "Olimpiiska" metro station in Kyiv.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Communications Department of the National Police.

As noted, patrol police, security police, an investigative team and units of the State Emergency Service immediately arrived at the scene.

Law enforcement officers found the car on fire. In addition, citizens who were at the scene detained a man allegedly involved in setting it on fire.

At present, the fire has been extinguished by the State Emergency Service, police are working at the scene, and all the circumstances are being investigated.
