Man stabs soldier in chest with knife in Kyiv: he is detained. PHOTOS
In Obolonskyi district of Kyiv, a man stabbed a serviceman.
This was reported by the Communication Department of the National Police, Censor.NET informs.
"The police received a report from doctors that a man with a stab wound was lying on Berezhanska Street.
Law enforcement officers found out that a conflict arose between the serviceman and the suspect at the entrance of a house in Obolonskyi district. The quarrel quickly escalated into a fight, during which the offender pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed the serviceman in the chest. After committing the crime, the attacker fled the scene, disposing of the weapon. The injured serviceman was hospitalised with a penetrating stab wound to the chest," the statement said.
Law enforcement officers tracked down the offender the next day and detained him.
It was a 43-year-old man from Kyiv, previously convicted several times.
Investigators have now served him a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional grievous bodily harm, and the court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention. The sanction of the article provides for up to eight years in prison.
