On the night of 18 November, Dnipro came under a massive attack by enemy drones. Among the damaged sites were the premises of the regional Suspilne Dnipro office and Ukrainian Radio.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to a post by Mayor Borys Filatov.
Filatov reacted sharply to the strikes, calling them a deliberate destruction of civilian infrastructure. He noted that in recent weeks drones and missiles have destroyed warehouses, manufacturing facilities, factories and other civilian businesses in Dnipro.
The mayor stressed that this time the occupiers "outdid themselves" by hitting the TV tower and the building of the former TV centre where Suspilne journalists work.
The editorial office of Suspilne Dnipro confirmed that its building had been damaged and released footage from the scene. The strike caused a fire, blew out windows and doors, and damaged floors and the roof. No staff were inside the premises at the time of the attack.
Journalists reported that Russian troops attacked four districts of the region at night - Dnipro, Samar, Pavlohrad and Nikopol. Several people were wounded and multiple fires were reported. Air defence shot down more than 30 drones over the region. Emergency response and clean-up operations are ongoing, including efforts to extinguish the fire at the newsroom building.
