UB60D FPV drones, which the company has approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine this year, are being supplied in large numbers under state contracts and handed over to various units for combat testing.
Ukrainian Armor LLC CEO Vladyslav Belbas said this in an interview for the NV and The Economist project "The World Ahead 2026," Censor.NET reports.
"It is important to receive professional feedback because everything changes quickly on the front line: frequencies, signals, countermeasures. As a weapons manufacturer, we have to adapt to these changes just as quickly," he explained.
What is the price of the UB60D FPV drone?
He said the UB60D FPV drone costs around $500, calling it "a competitive price given that it is not just a drone but a ready-to-use integrated munition in a factory configuration."
"Our UB60D FPV drone is an integrated munition based on a 60mm mortar round. For us, FPV is simply another way to deliver this munition to the target. The same round can be used as a mortar bomb, as a dropped bomb, or as a warhead on an FPV drone. We want to use the munitions we produce as efficiently as possible in all possible formats," Belbas said.
PROTECTOR system
Also, as the CEO of Ukrainian Armor LLC said, the PROTECTOR uncrewed ground system, which the company has approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine this year, is undergoing combat trials in several units.
"We approved PROTECTOR for use this summer and handed it over to several units for combat trials. We are now waiting for feedback. This is a new development — we need to confirm its characteristics in real-world use. In parallel, we are showcasing the system to partners in Europe; there is already interest, but mass procurement will come after we complete the full testing cycle. We are also working on integrating various payloads, from combat modules to laser systems," Belbas said.
