Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conference call and listened to reports from all regions following a massive Russian attack.
He announced this on his Telegram channel, according to Censor.NET.
There is significant damage to energy facilities
The Russians used more than 400 drones, most of which were "suicide drones". They also used nearly 40 missiles of various types. Unfortunately, there is significant damage to energy facilities, which has affected the energy situation throughout the country, resulting in widespread power outages.
"This reflects Russia's general attitude towards the situation and their true intentions. Today, Russia shows no willingness to end this war in the near future, and both in terms of the front line and such massive strikes, Russia continues its policy of effectively destroying Ukraine," the head of state emphasised.
According to him, the Russians deliberately struck, in particular, energy facilities on which the operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants depends, which threatens not only security in Ukraine, but also the common security of the region and Europe.
Pressure on Russia is needed
"We believe that partners in America, Europe and other countries who want peace should take a sober view of this and act accordingly. Real pressure must be put on Russia to bring about real change in their intentions and overall prospects," he added.
What is the situation with energy supplies?
In addition, the conference call discussed in detail the energy supply situation in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region, Chernihiv and the Chernihiv region, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipro, and our southern regions: Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, as well as our Donetsk region, Zaporizhzhia, Kropyvnytskyi and the region, Zhytomyr region, Vinnytsia region, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Rivne region, Volyn region, and Lviv region. The necessary forces have been mobilised everywhere to eliminate the consequences of the strike and restore power. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is creating additional teams for operational work at energy facilities in the western regions.

"There was a rather tough discussion about the work of mobile fire groups, and in the coming days, regional leaders, the Ukrainian Air Force and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine must ensure additional reinforcement of the mobile fire group component in the overall defence system of certain regions. I also expect an increase in support programmes for people, and the Ukrainian government has been given specific tasks. Ukrainian diplomats must speed up their work with partners on support packages for our air defence and energy security," the president concluded.
