A soldier who was in the Special Forces detonated a grenade in his friend's apartment in Kyiv. One person was killed and two were injured.
This was reported by the police, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
The incident took place at around 2 a.m. in the Obolonskyi district of the capital.
"It has been preliminarily established that a 29-year-old soldier, who was in AWOL (unauthorised abandonment of a unit), came to visit his friend, where they were drinking alcohol with a group of seven people.
Later, during a sudden conflict, the offender detonated an F-1 grenade in the kitchen, killing the 45-year-old owner of the house at the scene and hospitalising another guest, a 36-year-old local resident, with bodily injuries," the report said.
Arrest
Patrol officers detained the man. He suffered shrapnel wounds to his leg and is currently under the supervision of doctors and law enforcement officers.
Proceedings have been initiated on the grounds of intentional murder committed in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people.
A notice of suspicion is being prepared for the detainee, and the issue of his detention is being decided.
