The Bulava unmanned systems battalion of the 72nd Mechanised Brigade named after the Black Cossacks is celebrating its third anniversary.
This was reported on Facebook by Andrii Nazarenko, commander of the Bulava USF Battalion of the 72nd Mechanised Brigade, according to Censor.NET.
Expansion of the unit
"Today, our family is three years old. During this time, the team of 15 like-minded people has grown to 493 professional defenders.
Every day, we demonstrate systematic development, which is measured by concrete results:
- enemy manpower destroyed;
- enemy equipment burned;
- the number of evacuated brothers and sisters;
- consistently high positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine rankings," the statement said.
According to Nazarenko, in terms of effectiveness, his unit shows results on par with units that are 5-10 times larger in number.
Key results for the year
March 2025:
/ 17 tanks destroyed
4th place among 63 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
1st place among 40 units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces
April 2025:
/ 933 occupiers eliminated
2nd place among 237 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
1st place among 168 units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in this indicator.
/ 12 tanks destroyed
5th place among 65 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
2nd place among 38 units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
May 2025:
/ 807 occupiers eliminated
4th place among 232 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
1st place among 169 units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in this indicator.
Fiery Spring (March-May) — overall results
/ 2,157 occupiers eliminated
4th place among 276 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
1st place among 194 military formations of the Ukrainian Ground Forces;
/ 31 tanks destroyed
5th place among 95 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
2nd place among 58 units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.
"The destruction of enemy personnel is a priority for every unit of the Ukrainian army. In 2025, our team eliminated 3,507 occupiers, which allowed us to take:
11th place among 400 units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces;
4th place among 307 units of the Ground Forces," Nazarenko added.
Effectiveness in difficult conditions
Despite the fact that:
- we spent two months in the Kherson direction and five months in the Kharkiv region, where the front remained relatively stable and the enemy did not carry out active offensive operations,
the unit achieved the following results:
- 38th place among 450 units in terms of the number of E-points scored;
- 18th place among 349 units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces;
- 5,382 targets hit in total.
The state of the unit today
- 97% staffing level;
- Potential for scaling up;
- clear goal — to destroy even more enemy manpower and equipment this year, increase the team to increase enemy losses.
