Five injured in Kherson over day: hospitals and residential buildings come under fire. PHOTOS
Russian troops shelled settlements in the Kherson region with artillery, including multiple launch rocket systems, mortars and drones throughout 16 February. In Kherson, five civilians were injured, including two hospital employees. Medical facilities, residential buildings and a rescue service vehicle were also damaged.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, according to Censor.NET.
According to the investigation, on 16 February 2026, the Russian army shelled populated areas of the Kherson region with artillery, including rocket artillery, mortars and drones.
As of 5:30 p.m., it was recorded that five civilians were injured as a result of Russian attacks.
All of the injured are residents of Kherson

In the morning, the enemy launched an MLRS strike on the city, injuring a man. Later, another man was wounded by a projectile dropped by the occupiers from a UAV.

During the day, an artillery strike hit the grounds of one of the city’s hospitals, injuring two female employees of the facility.

At around 4:00 p.m., another woman sustained head injuries as a result of enemy shelling.
Destruction
- Private and apartment buildings, a healthcare facility, private enterprises, a dormitory, and motor vehicles were damaged.
- Russian occupiers continue to shell the city's medical facilities. Since nightfall, the enemy has been periodically attacking the territory of one of the hospitals in the Dniprovskyi district. At night, multiple launch rocket systems were used to strike the hospital's laundry room. During the day, the polyclinic building came under fire. The facade was damaged, windows were broken, and offices were destroyed.
It is also reported that the Russians repeatedly attacked rescuers while they were working: "Today in Kherson, a passenger car caught fire due to the explosion of Russian UAV explosives. When rescuers arrived at the scene and began to extinguish the fire, the Russian army carried out a second attack. The fire engine was damaged as a result of the strike. Fortunately, no personnel were injured."
