Ukraine's Security Service has apprehended the commander of a Kyiv-based military unit while receiving a bribe.

As reported by Censor.NET citing SBU press center, the lieutenant colonel extorted UAH 5,000 (approx. $196) from his subordinate for concealing the facts of official duties violation from military prosecutors.

The operatives caught the commander in his office while receiving the bribe.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted under part 3, article 368 while searches and urgent investigative activities are underway to establish other possible corrupt actions by the commander.
