SBU not prohibited Gryzlov’s entry into Ukraine. DOCUMENT (in Ukrainian)
The Security Service of Ukraine has not declared chairman of the supreme council of the United Russia party Boris Gryzlov, whom Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently appointed representative of Russia in the negotiations on the Donbas, persona non grata in Ukraine.
This is stated in the response of the SBU to the relevant request submitted by Apostrophe, Censor.NET reports.
"The Security Service of Ukraine has not taken the decision to refuse entry to Ukraine for citizen of the Russian Federation Boris Gryzlov," the document reads.
In 2014, the European Union imposed sanctions against the Russian and Crimean leaders and entities in connection with the occupation of the peninsula by Putin. Among others, the sanctions list included Gryzlov as one of the ideologists of the capture of Crimea. He is banned from entering the EU. Gryzlov paid a visit in Kyiv in January 2016, where, in particular, he held a meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
