The patrol police start operating in Mariupol (Donetsk region) today, May 30.

172 patrol police officers have taken an oath in Mariupol. 22 patrol crews and four commanding ones are going on patrol in the city.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, National Police Head Khatia Dekanoidze, Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
Mariupol became the 32nd Ukrainian city where the new police started operating. A total of 28 patrol police directorates have been created in Ukraine. 27 chiefs of police precincts from cities throughout Ukrainian came to Mariupol to attend the ceremony of oath taking by the new members of the law enforcement agency.
Hroisman stressed that Mariupol required special support as a front-line city, Ukrainski Novyny wrote.
The prime minister wished the patrol police officers every success and secure service.
