In Kyiv, a young man has been charged with fraud after offering to sell cars to the military for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; however, after paying a deposit, the buyers received nothing.
This was reported by the press service of the capital’s prosecutor’s office, according to Censor.NET.

"Fraudulent car sales advertisements were posted throughout 2025 on TikTok and published on the OLX platform. The cars were supposedly to be delivered to customers from abroad. Military personnel wishing to purchase a car were sent photos and asked to pay a deposit. However, the buyers never received either the cars or their money back.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that four military personnel made a deposit for a car, while another paid the full price. In total, the five victims transferred almost 600,000 hryvnias to accounts provided by the suspects," the statement reads.
The actions of the scheme’s organiser have been classified as fraud committed on a large scale or through illegal transactions using computer technology.
The penalty under this section provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years. The investigation is ongoing, and other participants in the criminal scheme are being identified.
According to police, the suspect is an 18-year-old man.
