Ukrainian Armor is working on new modifications of FPV drones equipped with mortar rounds and upgraded warheads.
As Censor.NET informs, a representative of the company told a journalist of the Oboronka outlet about this during the international Eurosatory 2026 exhibition in Paris.
UB82D: new version of FPV drone with 82-mm mortar round
At its stand, the company for the first time presented the UB82D drone in a new body, which was codified in May this year. It is an FPV drone on a 10-inch frame with a warhead in the form of an 82-mm mortar round. The UAV is equipped with a protective body printed using 3D printing technology.
The stand also displayed UB60D kamikaze drones with a 60-mm mortar round, created according to the same principle and codified last year.
Own explosively formed penetrator to fight armored vehicles
Since mortar rounds are more suitable for striking infantry, the company is working on its own warhead to destroy armored vehicles and other protected targets.
Its own explosively formed penetrator is already under development and will be used to equip drones on a 10-inch frame.
First fiber-optic drone to be tested by the end of the year
Ukrainian Armor also plans to test its first fiber-optic drone by the end of the year. It will be based on the company’s own 82-mm mortar round, which will be integrated onto a 15-inch frame, since, in addition to the warhead, the drone must carry a spool of fiber.
