According to the State Emergency Service, following an attack on a residential area of the city, emergency services arrived at the scene to extinguish a fire in a private house.

It was whilst the work was being carried out that the Russian military launched a second strike.

"In Nikopol, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russians have once again demonstrated their cynicism – they launched a second attack on rescue workers who were clearing up the aftermath of the previous shelling," the State Emergency Service reported.
