Law enforcement agencies have uncovered several schemes involving the embezzlement of public funds during the procurement and construction of shelters for educational establishments and military facilities. The total amount of losses identified stands at 81 million hryvnias.

According to Censor.NET, this was announced by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

A scheme worth 47 million hryvnias has been uncovered in the Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv regions

According to Kravchenko, an organised group has been exposed in a single criminal investigation; according to the investigation, the group embezzled 47 million hryvnias during the procurement of shelters for educational institutions and military facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk and Chernihiv regions.

The investigation established that tenders were rigged in favour of companies under their control, structures that did not meet state standards were supplied, forged certificates were used, and mandatory control procedures were circumvented.

Charges have been brought against four members of the organised group and six local government officials, whose official negligence, according to the investigation, enabled this scheme to be carried out.
