In the Chernivtsi region, rescue workers have recovered the bodies of a man and two children from the Dniester. The search for another child is ongoing.

According to Censor.NET, this information has been provided by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region.

Two tragic incidents occurred on the Dniester

According to the rescue services, on 24 June in the village of Repuzhyntsi, Chernivtsi district, a man born in 1976 and two children born in 2018 went missing in the water whilst enjoying a day out by the river.

On the same day, near the village of Moshanech in the Dniester district, a boy born in 2010 went missing in the water.

The search is ongoing

Fifty rescue workers, nine pieces of equipment, six boats and six drones have been deployed for the search and rescue operation.

As of 10:00 on 25 June, divers in Repuzhyntsi had recovered the bodies of the man and one child born in 2018. The search for the other child is still ongoing.

In the village of Moshanech, rescuers discovered the body of a boy born in 2010 and brought it ashore.
